Experience the mystical culture and wines of Andalusia!

Have you ever watched a travel show and wished you could step inside the screen?

As a chef and restaurateur, I have a unique sense of adventure and it’s led me to have incredible personalized experiences that are not available to the public. You haven’t lived until you’ve tasted wine right out of the barrel!

I’ve guided friends and relatives on trips abroad to create priceless memories. Now, I want to share that with you – so that you, too, can have that feeling of living inside a show on the Travel Channel.

Join me on a Trip to Andalusia and Tangier this May 2026!

During 6 days and 5 nights, we will explore the Sherry Triangle and the surrounding wine regions of Jerez with a quick side trip to Tangier, Morocco.

Andalusia features one of the most distinct and unique food and wine cultures in all of Spain and you’ll be introduced to the best the region has to offer.

I visited Andalusia for the first time last spring, and it left a lasting impression on me.

The architecture felt instantly familiar, and I finally understood what makes Old San Juan so beautiful. The first time I tried a tortilla de camarón, I recognized the lacy fried batter as a close cousin to the Puerto Rican bacalaíto. Even the cadence of the language felt like home—echoes of our Boricua accent carried across the Atlantic. And the wines…

It wasn’t until I left that I fully grasped how extraordinary sherry truly is, and how little we tend to understand it. The fact that an entire spectrum of flavors, textures, and depths can emerge from a single grape variety is astonishing. It speaks to centuries of craft and history that are too often taken for granted.

I can wax poetic about many Spanish wine regions, but none feel as elusive in the U.S. as the wines of Jerez. That elusiveness alone keeps drawing me back. These are wines I cannot access through my usual network—I have to travel for them and source directly from the winemakers. And honestly, sherry is absolutely worth the adventure. I would love to share this growing passion with you.

The itinerary is packed with adventure and the dreamy Andalusian vacation house is booked. We are taking care of all the details — all the meals, transportation and activities will be arranged to give us a deep exploration of the place. We can’t wait to show you some tried-and-loved spots from our last trip. We’ll take some new adventures together as a group, too!

Let’s make some new friends, taste some delicious food and wine, and take in the beautiful mystique of Andalusia!

A little more about me:

At 15, I first traveled to Europe with my dad, before the age of Google Maps and Trip Advisor. A meticulous planner, I studied a beaten-up paperback and put together a week-long adventure on the Mediterranean. I spoke no French, Italian, Greek or Turkish, but we made it work and we had a blast.

Fast forward 20 years: I’ve taken my partner Darcy on yearly self-guided trips to key wine regions in Spain. Using my industry connections, I’ve befriended winemakers I admire, and they’ve connected me to their friends!

As a traveler, I am intrepid and energetic with a well-honed sense of adventure and a knack for problem solving that comes in very handy!

My trips are structured yet relaxed — you can rely on me for plans that balance adventure and chill! And I’ve worked on my language skills, speaking fluent Spanish, decent French, and good-enough Italian.

My mission when I travel is to create memorable experiences, connect with likeminded people across the world, and immerse myself in the local culture.

Here’s a taste of our itinerary…

  • Day 1: Arrive in Jerez, crash course on sherry wine and tapeo

We have arranged a pickup in Sevilla in the morning and travel to Jerez de la Frontera for our first bodega visit, right off the jump! We’ll start off at a larger established bodega that practices the aging, classification and blending of sherries in the traditional solera system to get a full intro into sherry. A lot of history, and a lot of tasting here! Lunch will be at a lively traditional Andalusian tapas bar, then we’ll walk off the meal around the old town in Jerez. After that, we travel to our country house for light dinner and more sherry.

  • Vinyeard in Chiclana de la Frontera

Day 2: Vineyard and artisanal bodega tour

We’re waking up in a traditional house in one of the pueblos blancos, or white-painted towns. We start the day with breakfast at the house, then we head to the south point of the Sherry triangle to Chiclana de la Frontera. We’ll go for a tour of local vineyards just outside of the town and taste some Palomino wines and aged sherries. We’ll enjoy a beautiful patio lunch with wine in a local culinary institution. After lunch, we’ll take some time to walk around the old city of Chiclana and stop at a few more classic bars for snacks and drinks before we head back to the house for dinner.

  • Day 3: Tour of the salt flats and the town of Cádiz

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the house, then we’ll head to historical salt flat marshes in the Bay of Cádiz for a tour to learn how sea salt is produced in the region. After we’ll travel from Chiclana to Cádiz, stopping for lunch along the way. We’ll tour the old town and enjoy some snacks and drinks on the Cádiz waterfront. Once we’re done exploring, we head back to the house for dinner and drinks.

  • Day 4: Daytrip to Tangier, Morocco

Early wake up day on Sunday! We’ll take a quick and early breakfast and start early to catch the first ferry to Tangier, Morocco (1 hour drive + 1 hour ferry). We have the full day to explore Tangier, enjoy a Moroccan lunch and then catch the ferry back to Spain in the evening for dinner at the house.

  • Day 5: Trip to Sanlúcar for a Manzanilla bodega

Our last full day in Jerez! We start by enjoying breakfast at our place, then drive to Sanlúcar de Barrameda, the other tip of the sherry triangle and the home of Manzanilla sherry. We’ll visit a local bodega and learn what makes the sherry from this town unique. After that, a stop for lunch in the main town square, then we have time to pick up some bottles from a fantastic local shop and explore the city. We’ll head back to the house, with one stop in the Puerto de Santa Maria for a drink to see the port where Columbus sailed for America.

  • Day 6: Say goodbye :(

We’ll enjoy our last meal at the house, getting breakfast and packing up for our travels back to Boston. We have organized the drive back to Sevilla to arrive with time to get lunch and drop everyone off at the airport.
